2. Add a service component to a non-service or commemorative MLK event.

3. Organize a new service project in honor of Dr. King.

4. Mobilize volunteers from your organization to connect with MLK service projects.

5. Publicize the Triad region’s MLK Day of Service, and/or provide resources to help make the day a success.

Each service project should register their participants, market/brand their project as part of the region-wide Triad MLK Day of Service for 2010, and encourage their volunteers to participate in an evaluation following MLK Day (evaluation materials to be provided by the steering committee).

The King Day of Service has grown steadily from a local project to a nationwide movement, which perpetuates the life and teachings of one of American’s great heroes. Please join us in making the King Day of Service a celebration in which tens of millions of people serve their communities in his honor.
